Hi, I’m Elise Smith.

Along with being the founder and owner of both WinniE's Bakery and oECo Studios, an eco-sustainable video production company, I am a pastry chef, published recipe developer, food writer.

With over 10 years of working in the food industry, I have had the pleasure of working with local Baltimore/DC companies as well as major commercial brands, and my work has been featured in numerous local and national publications. My footprint includes, Jame's Beard Publication, Edible DC, PBS, Baltimore Magazine, Baltimore Wedding magazine, Bee’s Wrap, Chippin, Smithey Ironware, Rigwa and more!

For Elise, WinniE’s Bakery was created and brought to life as an emotional endeavor to honor and uplift the memory of her maternal grandmother, Winnie. A tangible and engaging way to access all the life lessons imparted to her, growing up in the kitchen at the feet of not only Winnie but those who came before her—cooking, crafting and expressing their alchemic ways through food. Although connected to all food—For Elise and Winnie baking will always be their first love.

Here you will find a passionate community of lovers of food. That means access to original recipes, stories, lessons and space to engage about how impactful cooking, baking and the sharing of food has been. Along with the ability to purchase some of our signature baked goods.
